Brendan Moore - Art Work

The seasons in the vineyard and the toil of the vigneron is a subject I've observed for many years while conducting wine tours throughout France with Wine-Liaisons. Recently inspired by the prints of Raoul Dufy in 2010 I produced a series of linoprints depicting the vigneron at work. Over the last few months I have used the same theme but now working with oils. Not having produced any body of artistic work since my schooldays I am enjoying playing with different media. Papier maché and wire, collages using sweet wrappers, dustbin lids etc are all being experimented with in my latest pieces. Born and raised on the english coast and having spent several years working at sea I also hope to produce a series of seascapes to accompany the vineyards... vagues et vignes ! The sea and wine, my favourite combination."
